The mainstream viewers are of the male gender. This is due to the more masculine actions that take place in the film such as fighting, cars, weapons e.t.c. Age ranges depend on certain spy films. For example, James Bond has been around since 1962 which appeals to age ranges from children to the elderly as it has been in the lime light for years. However, more recent spy films such as Kingsman would appeal to teenagers due to the fact it doesn't have the presentation, age and popularity as the James bond series. This proving that the audience varies depending on the film. The class it would appeal to is middle and upper class as spy films mainly focus on luxurious lifestyle of a spy and the expensive gear that is used. However, some working class people do watch it too but mainstream watchers are of middle and upper class. It appeals to races as it is a popular genre and enjoyed by everyone.
